Safety Information
Smoking is not permitted inside the vessel.
Passengers are not permitted to remain in their vehicles during the crossing. If it is necessary for passengers to return to a vehicle during the crossing, passengers must be accompanied by a crew member.
All goods carried on our vessels must comply with the provisions of the Canada Shipping Act regarding the carrying of dangerous cargo.
Recreational vehicles carrying LPG will have cylinder valves fully closed while aboard the ship, and no appliances will be operated (further information is available at Coastal Transport's Ticket Office).
Terminal ramps - maximum gross weight 43,500 kg.
Pets are permitted to stay in vehicles or on the outside passenger decks. Pets are not permitted on the inside passenger decks.
Liability
Carriage is subject to conditions on contract of carriage issued by the carrier. Liability of carrier shall not exceed the base figure established by the Hague-Visby Rules as incorporated in the Carriage of Goods by Water Act for each vehicle unless additional charge is paid on declared value in accordance with the carrier's tariff which is available for inspection.
Accessibility
The M.V. Grand Manan Adventure and M.S. Grand Manan V are both equipped with elevators to convey passengers from the vehicle decks to the passenger deck. Check with terminal manager for assistance.
