COVID-19

Coastal Transport is continuing to work directly with Transport Canada and the New Brunswick Department of Health daily. In order to provide passengers with the safest possible options for travel on its vessels, the following protocols are now in place.

To help keep everyone healthy, passengers are reminded it is their responsibility to practice social distancing.

Mask wearing protocols aboard the Grand Manan Adventure

Passengers must have masks in their possession before boarding the vessel and can be refused passage if they do not have one.

Passengers will be notified at the gate or by the Mate if masks are mandatory on each trip.

All passengers must be in possession of a mask while on the vessel. It is the responsibility of passengers to wear masks when they cannot social distance.

If a trip has a high passenger count, the master may enforce mask wearing at all times, for the whole crossing.

When the passenger count is under 60 passengers:

Wearing a community mask is recommended but is not mandatory, when able to maintain a distance of 2 metres.

When the passenger count is above 60 passengers:

Masks are mandatory, at all times, while on the vessel.
